This is the question Louis Dreyfus Armateurs asked to Airbus in the early 2000s at the launch of the A380 program.
In 2002, in order to satisfy the first order book and to anticipate the increasing orders of many companies, AIRBUS entrusted Louis Dreyfus Armateurs and its subsidiary LD Seaplane with the design of ro-ro ships that could be dedicated to such transportation. It was the beginning of a success story establishing a historic partnership with AIRBUS….
