Users may be required to provide their Personal Data in digital format when using the website.

– Principles relating to Personal Data collection

Users can generally browse the website without submitting Personal Data to LDA.

LDA only collects Personal Data needed for specific and specified purposes and ensures a high level of data protection.

Personal information collected from users through the “Contact” and “Careers” forms is subject to computer processing for the purpose of studying applications or other topics as specified by users / senders of messages (requests for brochures, internal magazines, permission for use of photos, etc).

In such cases, personal information collected from users through the “Contact” form includes: Name (s), First Name (s), Title and Email Address.

The user’s Personal Data is stored until the request has been fulfilled.   In the absence of a fulfillment, the data is deleted within the timeframe recommended by the CNIL (National Commission on Informatics and Liberty), which is three years after collection by the website or the last contact made by the user, subject to the various possibilities and legal obligations in relation to archiving, data retention and / or anonymization obligations.

 – Collecting the user’s browsing information

When using the website or services linked to the website, the following data may be collected automatically: IP address, browser reference, browsing data (date, time, viewed content, keywords, etc.) and operating system reference.

To collect this information, LDA may use “sessions” or “cookies” to store each user’s data in the computer memory or on their hard disk.

The collected Personal Data can be accessed by the LDA staff, including the Facilities Manager, the Head of Communication, experts and, when appropriate, trainees. The Personal Data may be sent to third parties acting as subcontractors (website hosts, IT maintenance agents, etc.). Subcontractors are bound by confidentiality obligations imposed by the regulations in force.

Personal Data collected from users of the website are exclusively stored in France and are not transferred outside the European Union.

Exercise of rights

To exercise their rights, users can submit a written request by email to rgpd@lda.fr or send a letter to Louis Dreyfus Armateurs – 21 quai Gallieni, 92158 Suresnes cedex – France.

Email and letter templates are available on the CNIL’s website (www.cnil.fr) to help users with such requests.

Before processing any request, LDA may ask to verify the user’s identity and request a proof of identity. LDA will reply to the user’s request as soon as possible and in any case, within a month of receiving the proof of identity.

If necessary and depending on the complexity and number of requests, this period may be extended by two (2) additional months. Should the case arise, the user will be informed of the extension and the reason(s) behind it.

  • AMENDMENT TO PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY

LDA reserves the right to amend this Personal Data Protection Policy at any time to comply with legislative and regulatory developments and / or improve its approach to Personal Data protection and processing.
