With Esti’Vent, LDA continues its development in the French wind energy market
Louis Dreyfus Armateurs Group is expanding its fleet of crew transport vessels for offshore wind farms.
Esti'Vent will join the fleet of LD Tide, a joint venture between the UK's Tidal Transit and Louis Dreyfus Armateurs, early this year. She will operate under French flag and will be used to transport construction and maintenance teams to French offshore wind farms.
Like Acti'Vent, the Group's 4th CTV operating for SGRE on Fécamp offshore wind farm from October 2023, Louis Dreyfus Armateurs has chosen Strategic Marine shipyard to build Esti'Vent. As a sistership of Acti'Vent, this catamaran hull is based on the field-proven and high-performing Stratcat 27 design. Measuring 26.7 metres long by 9.1 metres wide, it will be capable of carrying up to 24 passengers.
The Louis Dreyfus Armateurs Group is counting on the momentum of the French offshore wind energy market to secure this new vessel. The Saint Brieuc wind farm is due to be commissioned, closely followed by work on the Calvados, Yeu-Noirmoutier and Dieppe-le-Tréport offshore wind farms.
